I studied Petroleum Engineering in Federal University of Technology Owerri and graduated with a Second Class Upper. I did my Masters at University of Port Harcourt but my grade is not sufficient to enable me proceed for a Doctorate Degree.
My ambition is to obtain a PhD in Petroleum Engineering preferrably in Strategic Oil and Gas Management/Economics. How do I achieve this ?

I personally think that you should contact the university that you are looking for. Tell them what your passion is. So you need to work hard to persuade them. Once they say what to do, you just follow. Each university may require additional information besides Toefl, GMAT, etc.

Hopefully, you can learn PhD program in Petroleum Engineering.

      Cheers,
      Shyne

The future of oil and gas industry is still good because there is no such thing replacing oil/gas right now. There are a lot of exploration and production. This is a good time to get into this industry.

Each university may require different document. It would be better, if you go to the website of the schools that you are interested in. In the school websites, information required for applying should be provided.

FUTO is one of the very good schools that offer Petroleum Engineering at undergraduate level and various specialist areas in post graduate level.I am very surprised that FUTO was not listed.FUTO has contributed immensely to the working population in the Oil and Gas Industry in Nigeria and Various Nations..I am a proud graduate of the Petroleun Engineering Department in the Federal University of Technology Owerri.
